On trombone for Riverside Brass Quintet is Barnaby, originally from Essex, but currently living in South-East London. Incidentally, if you would like to hire musicians from the group, please do get in touch.
Working across the capital, the UK and around the world, Barnaby has spent his career so far as a performer and recording artist focusing on making music and art that he is genuinely passionate about. It has ranged from performing in arenas, stadiums and on television with world class pop acts such as Muse, Bastille, Lorde and Public Service Broadcasting to touring classical concert halls and opera houses with orchestras such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Barnaby has also enjoyed performing regularly as a featured musician both on-stage and in the pit in plays and musicals at London West-End theatres as well as at Shakespeare’s Globe and The National Theatre. Productions such as Follies, Show Boat, Bat Out Of Hell, Strictly Ballroom, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, and Richard II have been particular highlights in recent years.
In addition to being a founder member of Riverside Brass Quintet, Barnaby spends a great deal of time performing trombone with other ensembles, including South London brass collective, Old Dirty Brasstards, where he is also one of several music arrangers. The band tours throughout the year performing many sell-out shows and at major music festivals such as British Summer Time in Hyde Park and Glastonbury Festival.
