On Friday (8/03/13) we entered our first ever professional competition, hosted by the Royal Over-Seas League in London. After a very enjoyable (if a little nerve-wracking) performance, we were delighted to be put through to the 2nd round of the competition!
This will take place today (11/03/13), where we will be playing:
- selections from Suite Americana – Enrique Crespo
- II. Bossa Nova
- III. Vals Peruano
- I. Ragtime
- Pas Redoublé – Saint-Saëns (arr. A. Ligotti)
There are now just 11 groups remaining in the 2nd round, and we look forward to competing again today. Suite Americana was one of the first pieces we ever played as a quintet and we love playing it, with Pas Redoublé being an exciting new addition. Whatever the result, we will give it our all!
