Riverside Brass Quintet had an action-packed weekend 22nd-24th March! After a long 5-hour drive up to Newport, Pembrokeshire we enjoyed a hearty Welsh welcome before our performance for the Dyfed Choir in Goodwick nr. Fishguard.
The programme was coronation-themed, featuring some pearly trumpet lines in accompaniment to choir and organ. We also made a solo feature of The Water Music by Handel – a live-snippet of which will be released soon!
As if this wasn’t enough, after a few well deserved beverages in our favourite pub, The Golden Lion, the group was up at the crack of dawn to motor down to Allianz Park, home of the mighty Saracens RFC!
Special mention must go to James Pillai, our horn player who not only drove us all back to London, but then went straight off for an important orchestral audition – we wish him the best of luck with that!
It’s fantastic to continue our association with West Wales – this was our 3rd gig there in less than a year – while still keeping up with the Saracens and our London commitments. From choral society accompaniment, to matchday entertainment and everything inbetween, Riverside Brass have it covered – please don’t hesitate to get in touch to see how we can cater for your event!
