What they say about us

Listed here is some feedback Riverside Brass Quintet have been getting from clients, tutors and fellow musicians:

I would just like to say how wonderful you and the band were at our Westminster Abbey Garden Party on Tuesday evening. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the music that you provided throughout the reception in the College Garden.

The event was a great success and the splendid background music that you provided enabled our guests to take home with them wonderful memories of our 150th anniversary celebrations.

Hi guys,

I’m now back from honeymoon and just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you for playing at our wedding at the Painted Hall – the guests were full of compliments (your Les Mis actually had the bride’s uncle welling up…) and the music fitted the venue and occasion just perfectly.

We had been planning the wedding blessing service for over a year and were eagerly anticipating what it would sound like on the day. As it happened, Riverside Brass more than met our expectations: they brought the 16th century church back into life and wowed the guests, and us, with their accomplished playing. We particularly appreciated the care they took with the musical arrangements and in the colourful final verses of the hymns. There were so many compliments about the service but perhaps the most telling one was from a younger member: “I didn’t know classical music sounded so good”. Many, many thanks to you all for making the day so special.

It is hard to realise that it is nearly a week since you and the guys played at our ceremony – the last few days have been a whirl wind of activity but at last I can sit down and send you this heart felt email of thanks.

We were delighted with the band – you set the tone for a very happy day – we and our guests were blown away by your music.

Thank you for contributing so much to our day.

I would just like to thank you very much for your performance on Saturday, it was excellent and precisely what Elegant Entertainment and Saracens were looking for. The Chief Executive [of Saracens] was thrilled as were the rest of the team there, we were also delighted in your performance, appearance and general enthusiasm and demeanor.

I look forward to working together in the future on many other projects.

Many thanks for your fantastic music at my sister’s wedding. It was received very well by everyone at the service and I heard nothing but compliments towards the music you provided. Also, I would like to thank you for the extra music you played as a result of my sister’s late entrance – it was much appreciated!

We wanted to email you to say a huge thanks for playing brilliantly at our wedding in May. We all enjoyed your performance and your repertoire was just perfect. Thanks also for playing Happy Birthday for one of our guests, she was very surprised and touched.

This was playing of an extremely high standard… overall we were treated to a chamber music recital of great variety and conviction. Individual solo contributions were sensitively accommodated in each piece. We felt that Crespo’s Suite Americana was particularly well played – great rhythm, style, dynamics and an exceptional degree of notational accuracy. You could have sold tickets for this! Bravi!

This young group of brass players gave a thoroughly professional performance – all the more admirable in the face of threatening weather. Their programme was a selection which covered a wide historical range… with some traditional anons added for good measure. Altogether a skilled and lively performance, introduced with charm and aplomb; greatly appreciated.

I went to listen to this quintet playing at St Peter’s Church, Goodwick on Saturday 23rd March. They played an arrangement of Handel’s Water Music and accompanied the Cor Dyfed Choir. They were amazing – really enjoyed listening to this young and talented quintet. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone thinking of planning an event such as a wedding or special party.
